Message from the Principal Message from the Principal

We are in the final stretch of the school year! Last week, our days were a mix of "regular" and "special". The regular part included following our regular schedule, math, writing, recess and snack routines. But there was lots of "special" mixed in. Check out the snapshots below for a glimpse of some of those moments. Next week, there is more "special" than "regular":

Tuesday:

  • Step-up Time. K-4 students visit next year's classroom and do an activity with their new teacher
  • All School Meeting Talent Show

Wednesday: 5th Grade Promotion

Thursday: All Out Day at Cornwall School

Look for a volunteer sign-up from FOCS to help Cornwall School staff with All Out Day, and everyone please wish for good weather!

In celebration,

Nadya

Library news

This week, most Cornwall Elementary students received free books from RIF (Reading is Fundamental) and Bonnie's Books, a local non-profit that provides books to ACSD children and families. A few classes still need to come in to choose books.

In other library news, students been returning overdue books. Megan sends a huge thank you to families for facilitating the return of any library books and for supporting your children and reading!

Creame (Creamy? Creemie? Creemee?) Expedition

4th graders walked over to Peet's and enjoyed a creamy to celebrate the final days of the school year.

PS Consulting Cornwall Staff are appalled at the principal's spelling of creemee. Apparently there is only ONE way to spell it: with four eeees.
