A Message from Principal Laughlin
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we near the end of marking period 2, I wanted to remind you of the importance regular attendance has on a student's academic success. Should your child have difficulty coming to school on a consistent basis, it is suggested to reach out to the school counselors for support in remedying the situation. Our counseling staff have many ways to help our students find success.
Students are encouraged to participate in the wide variety of after school clubs and activities offered at Wall Intermediate School. Information on the days clubs/activities that are offered can be found on the WIS webpage.
Current 8th grade parents and students are encouraged to attend the Wall High School Class of 2030 Information Night taking place Thursday, January 29th at 6:30 PM in the Wall High School Auditorium. Parents and students will learn more about academic programs, electives, and the scheduling process at WHS. There will be a brief presentation followed by an opportunity to talk to teachers and supervisors from each department.
Sincerely,
Mr. Laughlin

Luggage for Love School Community Kindness Project
The term “Luggage for Love” refers to charity drives that collect and donate luggage, duffel bags, or suitcases filled with essential items to children in foster care or in crisis. This idea comes from the reality that many children entering foster care must transport all their belongings in plastic garbage bags, which can be demeaning and destabilizing. Providing real luggage instead helps give dignity, comfort, and a sense that they matter. Our goal is for the students at WIS to collect items that can go into these bags and use 2/18 and 2/26 to pack the bags in their Wellness Wednesday homeroom. Finally, we are looking to have selected students (knighted or students of the MPs) to take these items to the outreach building in Bradley Beach to meet with St. James Episcopal Church and CASA representatives who have started the Luggage for Love initiative and will receive our donation for foster children served by CASA of Monmouth and Ocean County at the end of February.
