Plus, see some pictures and recaps from past events.
Family Bingo Night!
Last year was so much fun, Bingo is happening again this year!
April 10th at 5-8pm Weaver Lake Elementary
We hope you and your entire family can come out to enjoy this fun family event, and that you're able to help us out for part of the evening as well! Click the link below to sign-up for one of the open positions.
1. BINGO Validator & Gym card sales: The more people we have doing this job, the better! Volunteers will be meandering around the gym confirming BINGOs as they get called, and selling more cards to families as needed. More volunteers means we'll be able to fit more games in to ensure we get those great prizes won!
2. BINGO Tracker & Validator: This is a very easy job! Volunteers are needed to confirm that the number that was called by the BINGO caller matches what came out of the machine, and you get to be the Vanna White of the BINGO world by placing the balls on the board so players can see what was called.
3. Clean-up & Popcorn Popper: If you plan to stay for the entire evening and have a few minutes to spare after all is said and done, we could use one more person to help with clean-up! Additionally, we could use a popcorn popper for the last part of the evening. We want to make sure our BINGO players have plenty to snack on while they play!
Thank you!

School Bus Driver Appreciation Day Recap — February 18, 2026
Our school community celebrated School Bus Driver Appreciation Day on February 18, 2026, with a heartfelt show of gratitude for the drivers who safely guide our students every day—despite the chilly, windy, and rainy/snowy weather.
Even with winter weather swirling, the morning kicked off with energy and appreciation. Thank‑you signs lined the outside of the school building, creating a bright, cheerful path for arriving buses. Volunteers added to the excitement by walking up and down the sidewalk holding appreciation signs, braving the cold to make sure every driver felt seen and celebrated. Drivers were welcomed with gift bags filled with goodies from Costco the PTO purchased, along with a Caribou Coffee free drink card generously donated by the Caribou Coffee off CR‑30E. Volunteers also handed out fresh Dunkin’ Donuts donated by the Dunkin’ location on Grove Drive, giving drivers a warm, sweet start to their morning routes.
To spread the appreciation even further, leftover goodies were placed in the staff lounge so staff members could enjoy a treat and share in the spirit of the day.
This year’s event showed just how strong our community is—coming together in tough weather to honor the people who keep our students safe every single day.
There are pictures below showing some of the signs, volunteers handing out Dunkin and gift bags, the gift bags themselves and what was in them, the scarf that was made for the drivers, and the extras left in the staff lounge

It took the entire school to achieve our Read-A-Thon goal and we did it! We raised $18,505 and had a total of 295,375 reading minutes!
Because we achieved our school goal, Dr. Salazar and Mrs. Weaver were silly stringed!!
With almost 100 amazing entries, this year's two bookmark winners were Krish in 5th grade and Kaia in 2nd grade. Congrats!

The PTO is also looking to fill these roles:
Be a part of an amazing team and make a difference for the Weaver students!
Chair positions are a 1+ year commitment and are appointed by executive board
-Bingo night (or carnival): Co-chair, shadow this year on 4/8
This is primarily for family fun and raises a little bit of money for our school
-Color Run: co-chair/help
This is our main fundraiser each year. It funds most of our educational programs and losing this would change how we look at the schools future.
-Conference meals for teachers
Arrangements made to feed our teachers during conferences, needs to be available to set-up and clean-up. Help is available with other chairs.
Executive Board positions up for election (2 + year commitment)
-President (President elect for a year with recumbent, then president for 2027/2028 school year)
Oversees all activity with PTO, gathers information from staff and families for necessary discussions, available for most fundraisers and activities to help where needed. Runs a minimum of 5 meetings per year and a few google meets when needed. Communicates with administration regularly to ensure things run smoothly. Get approvals for advertisements, events and permits from the district as needed.
-Fundraising (current officer is staying on to mentor someone for a full year)
Oversees all fundraising and co-chairs events that need it. Ensures deadlines are met and fundraising chairs are trained and assisted when needed. Make sure we meet our budget requirements to fulfill commitments to the school. Oversees schedules to ensure fundraising and events are spread out throughout the year.
