Bobcat News October 26
Bobcat Buzz: Message From Admin
Hello Bobcat Families!
We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! With snow in the forecast, please ensure students are dressed for the changing weather, including warm coats, hats, mittens, and appropriate footwear for outdoor recess.
Tuesday, we will come together for a school assembly! To show our Bobcat spirit, our CTF Leadership students have planned a special theme day: Crazy Hair Day! We look forward to seeing everyone’s creativity and school spirit on display.
Friday is Halloween, and we have some exciting activities planned! Our Logos students will be heading to Heartland Church for a special field trip, while students at school will take part in our annual Halloween Snake Parade at 9:15 a.m. Parents and guardians are welcome to join us for the parade! We ask that families line the hallways to cheer on our students as they snake their way through the school in their Halloween costumes. We look forward to a fun-filled week of school spirit, celebration, and community!
Have a great week, Bobcats!

BESC Updates
Hey Brentwood families,
Thank you to all who attended our movie night last week! It was a blast and so fun to see our community come together. A massive thank you as well to our volunteers, without whom we simply could not function. You are all amazing!
BESC has an ongoing number of very simple fundraisers that we’ve used for the past number of years. Please bring your receipts in and drop them off in the main office as we turn them into each corresponding business and earn money for our school! The businesses are as follows:
Boston Pizza
Save On Foods (Wye Road)
Cobs (Wye Road)
Mabel’s Labels: choose Brentwood Elementary from the drop down menu and we receive a portion of the sales! www.campaigns.mabelslabels.com
We will have more fundraising events coming up this year and will update as we get them organized. The money raised is used for teacher classroom funds, equipment, and extras for the school. It also pays for the winter concert and occasionally other school events like Brentwood in Motion.
If you would ever like to help out or if you have any questions, please reach out to us at besc.info@gmail.com. Thank you!
Attendance to the OFFICE
Dear Families,
We kindly ask for your help in keeping our attendance records accurate and up to date.
- After school messages MUST be at least 1/2 hour prior to end of day.
If your child will be absent, late, or leaving early, please be sure to notify the school office directly by phone or email (both available 24 hours a day). While it may seem convenient to message your child’s teacher, those messages do not always make their way to the office—and this often results in unnecessary phone calls or emails home as we try to confirm your child’s whereabouts.
A helpful way to think about it:
- If the office knows, everyone knows.
- If only the teacher knows, only the teacher knows.
Teachers may be away or unable to check messages during the day, and the office is the only place where attendance is officially recorded. We are also the only ones able to enter any absences, whether it’s for a day, a trip, or even extended time away.
Your support helps us ensure student safety and saves everyone time—thank you for helping us keep things running smoothly!

If a return call is needed, we will be happy to get back to you as soon as we can. If you are simply calling to let us know something (such as an absence or change of plans), please include that information in your message and there is no need for us to return your call.
