Shout Out
As we start the new semester, we want to recognize one of our community partners who have sponsored our 5 Star Student Incentive Program here on campus. Cathy Albyn and Raising Cane’s have been a valuable partner with our incentive program, donating awesome Cane’s merch and box combo cards for our 5 Star PICK Store as well as being a sponsor for our EDHS Athlete of the Week Award. We thank them for all of their support and look forward to strengthening our partnership moving forward.
Principal's Pride
Welcome back, Miner Nation! I hope our students, staff, and families enjoyed a well-deserved Winter Break filled with rest, time with loved ones, and a chance to reflect and recharge. Breaks like these matter—they give us space to reset our routines, refocus our priorities, and return ready to finish the year strong.
As we launch into Semester Two, there is so much excitement ahead at El Diamante High School. Our performing arts students are starting the semester in incredible fashion, with opportunities like the CASMEC Conference & All-State and TKMEA Honor Choir kicking things off right away. And we can’t wait to pack the house for The SpongeBob Musical, February 19–21—a true Miner celebration of creativity, talent, and teamwork.
This semester also brings major momentum across our pathways and student leadership programs, including FFA Week and the World Ag Expo, where our students will proudly represent EDHS and showcase the best of agricultural education.
Winter sports are in full swing as well—Miner Boys and Girls Basketball, Wrestling, Cheer, and Soccer are competing at a high level, and we encourage everyone to come out, wear green, and support our students. THE GREEN SEA IS IN EFFECT! The energy of our community makes a difference.
Students: the start of a new semester is your chance to start fresh. Set a high standard for yourself, stay focused, and finish the second half of the year strong. We have many exciting developments underway for our scholar-athletes, VAPA performers, and pathways—stay tuned!
Let’s make Semester Two our best yet. Go Miners!
