Dear Doherty Middle School Families,
As this truly remarkable school year draws to a close, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. This year, my first as Principal of Doherty Middle School, has been incredibly special, and its successes are a testament to our strong community.
To our incredible students, thank you for your hard work, your enthusiasm, and your resilience. It has been a privilege to watch them grow, learn, and achieve so much this year. Their dedication makes Doherty a vibrant place.
To our dedicated teachers, support staff, and administrators, thank you for your unwavering commitment to our students' success and well-being. Their passion and tireless efforts create the nurturing and inspiring learning environment that allows our children to thrive.
And to you, our supportive parents and guardians, thank you for being such vital partners in your children's education. Your trust, your active involvement, and your constant encouragement are truly invaluable. We know that a child's success is a collaborative effort, and your partnership with our staff makes all the difference.
This year has been filled with countless moments of learning, laughter, and achievement for all of us. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished as a community. I wish you and your children a safe, restful, and joyous summer break. I look forward to seeing our returning Doherty 7th and 8th Graders in the Fall, and I wish all our students leaving Doherty the very best as they embark on their high school journey.
With sincere appreciation,
Principal Perry Doherty Middle School

Andover Middle Schools, Eighth grade World Language STAMP test
In all of our Andover Middle Schools, Eighth grade World Language students participate in the STAMP test (Standards-based Measurement of Proficiency) to assess their skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. This nationally recognized assessment measures real-world language proficiency and aligns with ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) standards. Scores reflect what students can do with the language in authentic situations. We congratulate all of our students for their participation!
We are proud to recognize the following students for exemplary performance on the STAMP assessment. These students earned scores in the Intermediate High to Advanced range in their exams, an impressive achievement that reflects their dedication and skill.

Optional Summer Math Practice
Andover Public Schools has created a set of optional activities to support your student's math skills this summer. The Get Ready resources include a mix of printable and online assignments designed to review important concepts that will be needed for the grade they will be entering in the fall.
These are not required and will not be collected or graded but are a helpful way for students to continue math practice at their own pace.

Thank you PAC!
Wonderful Books during our last week!
The PAC could helped Doherty's staff kick off their summer reading during the last week of school. PAC created a fantastic display in the staff room: a table overflowing with wrapped books, each clearly labeled with its genre and a captivating description. PAC also added reading-themed stickers and Doherty-themed bookmarks. And for an exciting twist, an Andover Bookstore gift certificate was hidden in a couple of the books as a 'golden ticket' surprise!
Special Thank You to PAC Parent Stephanie Barry.

Who We Are & Stay Connected
“Who We Are”
Communication with our families is essential to the success and wellness of our students. To assist our families and help them connect with the appropriate staff who is best suited to answer questions, we have updated our “Who We Are” page on our website. The information will guide families to resources on how to reach staff with concerns and how to stay connected to news and events across the district.
