Thoughts for Thursday: Why we remember 9/11

The 5th Grade Outdoor Education Program is seeking your support with future outdoor education programming! As a safe and new approach to fundraising, they are partnering with Bucky Book, who for 28 years has helped hundreds of organizations raise money for their causes. Your participation in this online, no-contact campaign can help them continue their good work while keeping everyone safe.

Please consider purchasing a NEW Bucky Book 29 on their behalf at the following safe and secure direct link: https://www.buckybook.com/mineral-point-elementary. Here are some reasons to participate:

* Valid thru September 2021 so there is plenty of time to use the coupons that interest you.

* Hundreds of 50% off coupons you can use right now from golf, groceries, pizza, fast food, coffee shops, oil changes, car washes, pet food, home services even many entertainment venues and restaurants.

* Just using a couple of coupons can easily save you the $35 price, then it will cost you nothing to support their cause!

Please allow a few weeks for the delivery of your Bucky Book 29 due to overwhelming response. Thank you in advance for your support! Your participation will make a BIG difference for the 5th Grade Outdoor Education Program in getting through this difficult time.

Virtual and in person attendance guidelines

All students enrolled in school are required to attend. It is the duty of the parent or guardian to monitor and require the student’s attendance. Parents should call the elementary attendance line at 987-0717 before 9:00am to report their children's absence. After 9:00am and 1:00pm, an automated call will go out to parents whose child has been marked absent from school. If the parent does not contact the school after they receive that call, the absence will be classified as unexcused. This regulation refers to in person and virtual instruction as attendance is taken on virtual days as well.

Do you need to make a dismissal change?

All dismissal changes must be communicated to the office BEFORE 1:00 PM for M, T, TH & F. Please follow this link to our online submission form, http://mineralpointschools.org/mpsd/forms/elementary-dismissal-form/. ONLY emergency changes will be accepted after 1:00 PM by calling the elementary office at 608-987-0710.

PLEASE make sure to call First Student, 987-3911 and make them aware of any bus riding changes. The elementary school is not responsible for that communication.
