The News
We got it all this week! Severe weather tonight. A return to Winter tomorrow. A return to Spring by the end of the week. The Ides of March. St. Patrick's Day. The first official day of Spring. Oh, and the ACT!
Beware the Ides of March. Watch your back today. "E tu Brutus?"
Be weather award late tonight. There is the potential for damaging straight line winds and a small tornado possible. It will turn very cold tomorrow and Tuesday.
Wear your green on Tuesday for St. Patrick's Day. May the luck of the Irish be on you.
Wednesday our Juniors will take the ACT. They have worked very hard this year and especially the last two weeks to prepare for this test. I want to wish you all the best of luck! Our Seniors and Sophomores will be virtual on Wednesday to allow for a quieter school for testing and free up teacher resources for the test. So if your 10th or 12th grader tells you they don't have to come to school on Wednesday, they are telling you the truth.
The first official day of Spring is on Friday! To celebrate, we will issue report cards for the third nine weeks. Also, Friday is only a half day for students. The second half of the day is for parent/teacher conferences. If you would like to schedule a conference with a teacher you may call email the teacher directly or call the office.
Congratulations to our boys golf team on beating Russellville and our baseball team on their win over Sulligent.
Have A Great Week!

The Photo Album
The Bird Inc program came this week to present their program to Coach Gilbert's 7th and 8th grade science classes. It is based out of the College of Engineering at Auburn and is funded through a Department of Defense grant.
I learned you can retrieve old Google Satellite photos this week on Google Earth.
All the same layout and orientation. You can see pre-2011 tornado and post-tornado.
You can also see how much better the imagery has gotten.
This is from 1999.
