We wanted to share an update on the Woburn Public Schools elementary redistricting efforts. Last night, the Woburn School Committee voted to move forward with Option 1, a phased approach to a full redistricting plan. This means that, as a first step, we’ll be focusing on alleviating overcrowding in some of our elementary schools starting in the fall of 2025.

Later this week, the advisory committee will be meeting to review various options and make recommendations to the School Committee. The School Committee will be meeting on April 8 and redistricting will continue to be an agenda item. Also, we are planning for a public forum on Monday, April 28th to solicit public feedback. Please continue to look at our redistricting website or contact your school’s caregiver representative to the advisory committee.
