8TH GRADE RESTAURANT INFORMATION
This will be the third year of our 8th grade restaurant opportunity for our students. Those of you that grew up here probably remember being a part of this project. After about a decade of not having it, our staff was excited to again bring our restaurant back.
For those of you not familiar with this project, our 8th grade students vote on a theme, create a resume, apply online for a job, interview with members of our community, get placed in a job, then plan and prepare a full fledged Restaurant. Our students plan the menu, decor, attire, prices, and more. We love the real life application and experiences our students get from this and the pride they take in their job and the outcome.
Parents, please encourage your child to participate fully in this project. We are only able to hold interviews on one day so please try to get your child here and on time. Even though the kids won't receive monetary benefits, they will get out what they put into this!
Important Dates:
- Wednesday, February 12th - Interviews with Community Members. Please have your student dress for a professional interview!
- End of April - Info will go out for reservations. Parents of 8th graders always pick time slots first, then we open reservations to the public.
- Tuesday, May 13th - Restaurant Night! Enjoy your gourmet dinner!
ââINHALERS & EPI PEN INFORMATIONââ
