Red Ribbon Week - October 26-30
Book Character Parade
Our Book Character Parade will take place Friday, October 30 at 8:30 a.m.!
The parade will start in the cafeteria/gym, and students will exit through the doors near the playground.
Firefly families are welcome to watch the Book Character Parade from the concrete drive (street) in the pink area. (See illustration below.)
Parents will not need to check in at the front office, as they can park and find a spot to watch.
See the student route below. Families are encouraged to park in the lots, not around the drive.
We will utilize the drive area for our spectators, and our students will walk on the sidewalks.
We will block off the entrance to the circle drive at 8:10 a.m.
Application for Free or Reduced-Price Meals
Dear Alyssa Ferguson Families,
We want to make sure every child has access to healthy, nutritious meals each school day. We are asking all families who may qualify to please take a few minutes to complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application.
Applying can make a meaningful difference for both your child and our school.
Why is your application important?
🍎 Free or Reduced-Price Meals
If your family qualifies, your child may receive school meals at no cost or at a reduced price.
📚 Supports Our School's State Accountability Rating
Applications help ensure our campus receives appropriate support, and that Ferguson is compared to schools serving similar student populations when state accountability measures are calculated.
💙 Helps Our Fireflies Thrive
Access to nutritious meals supports students in being ready to learn, focus, and do their very best each day.
