WEEK 21

Another week of great things happening at RCHS. The weather has finally started to warm up from the last couple of weeks. I think that brings everyone's spirits up. Next week is going to be even warmer and we will be doing even greater things. I hope everyone has had a great week , enjoy your weekend, and as always IT'S ALMOST MONDAY!!!!

LEAVE IT BETTER THAN YOU SEE IT LEAVE IT BETTER THAN YOU SEE IT

ATTENDANCE

This is a reminder about our attendance goals at RCHS. The goal is that students have 8 days or less absences. Attendance does not reset at semester. It is 8 days for the school year. You can think of it in semesters, if that is easier, which would be 4 absences per semester. These absences include excused and unexcused absences. If a student has a certified absence (doctor's note, etc see full list in our handbook), those absences do not count against the student. This is a change from past years to better align with the Indiana goals for attendance.

NEW DIPLOMA

Again Understand that this only affects the class of 2029. Next years incoming Freshman class will be under different guidelines in order to graduate. All students will graduate in one of three areas; enrollment, employment, or enlist. In last week's newsletter I focused on the Enrollment Seals. This week I want to show you about the Enlistment Seals.

ENLISTMENT HONORS SEAL

To The RCHS Staff

Sometimes when you are in the daily grind of a school day you get consumed with the things that you need to accomplish each day and at times that can seem overwhelming. Here at RCHS we have a building full of people doing many different things and it is all for the benefit of the 620 young humans that walk our halls every day. Each and every person at RCHS works hard every day to give the kids what they need to be successful. This week I want to give a special SHOUT OUT to the entire staff that works under this roof. I have witnessed many staff members drop what they need to do so they can step up for what others need. They did this without hesitation and without being asked to do anything. Imagine if we all lived the way this staff does. What an amazing world we would live in! The community of Rushville is blessed to have such amazing people working with our youth! A shout out to all of you for being the example of what a great Human Being is!! #FAMILY
