Hello Emerson Families,
October is a busy month at Emerson. We are closing out Hispanic Heritage Month and beginning Bully Prevention Month. Our Self Care Club is sponsoring two initiatives which will start on Monday. First, we have initiated a bully prevention poster competition happening during Eagle Time and secondly we will be initiating a school-wide bully prevention BINGO game. More information will be shared on the Monday Message.
Parent Teacher Conferences are next Wednesday, from 1:00-4:00pm (online meetings) and from 5:00 - 8:00pm (in person meetings). If you haven't signed up yet, you can do so at this link.
Garfield Garments and Groceries just had it's grand re-opening this week. This amazing facility provides fresh, free food along with new and gently used clothing to local families in need. Are You Ready to Step into the MiddleVerse?
The Frost Falcons have invited the Emerson Eagles and the Holmes Hawks to a MiddleVerse Halloween Activity Night on Friday, October 23rd from 6:00-8:00pm at Frost. School appropriate costumes are welcome, but no fake weapons please. This event is for LPS middle school students only. Students must be in attendance at school on October 23 to attend the event that evening.
Tickets will be sold online and at lunches on October 20, 21, and 22. No tickets will be sold the day of the event. More details to come soon.
