Get to know Ms. Amy

Hi, I am Amy Daubenspeck and I am thrilled that I get to be your child's Special Education Teacher. This will be my 9th year here at Sage Canyon. As long as I can remember my dream was to become a special education teacher. I attended University of Northern Colorado where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Special Education. I then went on and attended The University of Kansas where I obtained a Masters Degree in Special Education with my focus being on Autism Spectrum Disorder and leadership. I love being able to come to school each and everyday and build relationship with students and being able to help them reach their highest potential and dreams. I have a passion to support students with not just learning academics but also social skills, emotion regulation, and life skills! This year I am looking forward to building relationships with each kid while introducing them to real life skills in new a fun ways.

On a personal side I am engaged to Brett and we are planning a destination wedding! Brett and I have a super cute pup named Luna. I also have one brother, a sister in law, that is also named Amy, and the cutest niece Callie! In my free time I like being outside in the sun spending time with my friends and family, cooking, crafting and listening to any live music I can find! I am always up for any adventure!

Hi, I’m Kenna! I’m so excited to start another amazing year in RISE and to support your child & watch them learn and grow! I hold a degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences and working with children has always held a special place in my heart. I’m very lucky to be doing something I love. In my free time you can find me trying new recipes and baking treats to share with others & spending time with family and friends!

Mrs. Skylar

Hi my name is Skylar Lundy! I was born and raised in Arizona which is where I met my husband of 10 years now, we moved out here to CO shortly after we got married and are raising our 4 wonderful children, 3 of which go to Sage Canyon as well! I’ve been an at home day care provider for the last 6 years as a stay at home mom and am so thrilled for this opportunity to get to know all these wonderful students and watch them grow!

Hi my name is Heather Harris and this is my 3rd year in the Rise room. I have 3 daughters, 1 is in grad school, 1 in college and 1 here at Sage Canyon. My husband and I have been married for 26 years. I am beyond grateful that I get to work with these amazing students everyday. They bring so much joy to my life.

Ms. Jeanne

Hi everybody! I’m Ms. Jeanne and this is my first year at Sage Canyon, but my 10th year in the district. I previously worked for the SSN department at Douglas County High School. I have a cat named Luna and two boys (James and William) who have both finished high school. I enjoy baking, driving to the mountains, and trying new things. I am so happy to be here and am looking forward to a great year!
