A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
As I reflect on the journey we've shared together at PES, it fills me with immense gratitude to have been a part of your community for eleven years. It has been a privilege and an honor to work with you and your children, who have consistently inspired me. Together, we've celebrated successes and weathered challenges like the pandemic in 2020 and our temporary move to MHS in 2023.
As I bid farewell, I want to express my deepest gratitude to every member of the Phippsburg community family—students, parents, and staff—for your commitment to doing your best for all students. It has been an honor to serve as your Principal, and I am profoundly grateful for the time we've shared together.
As I pass the baton, I am confident that Mrs. Willett and the PES leadership team will continue to lead with passion, vision, and commitment to excellence. As I embark on this new chapter of my life, I carry with me fond memories of our time together and the hope for a bright and promising future for all of you.
GOODBYE, GOOD LUCK, AND CONGRATULATIONS
Please join us in saying goodbye and good luck to
Ms. McCauley and Mrs. Brockett who are retiring, and Mrs. Woodbury who is transferring to Dike Newell School.
In the fall, PES will welcome the following new staff members, and two current staff members to new positions:
Mrs. Nina Willette, Principal
Ms. Amy Bennett, Pre-K Teacher
Mrs. Romy Polizotto, Library Ed Tech
Mr. Ryan Monroe, PE Teacher
Kaitlyn O'Donnell, Intervention Teacher
Madison Burch, Gifted and Talented Teacher
REMINDERS
Feel free to keep this Thursday folder.
Our K-5 last day is Friday, June 14th. The 3rd trimester awards assembly will start at 11AM. Bagged lunches will be available for students. Students will be dismissed at 12:00PM, so buses will be arriving 3 hours earlier than usual (likely earlier due to many students being picked up from school). K-5 yearbooks will be handed out to students June 13th.
Please remember to check Lost and Found! Any unclaimed items will be donated after the last day of school.
If you participate in the program, please turn in any Hannaford Helps Schools Dollars, as this year's program ended June 1st. We are registered at the Topsham Hannaford. Thank you for your support.
LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE
This is a reminder to bring ALL your library books back tomorrow. Lost/Missing book fees have been issued.

OFFICE NEWS
The PES office is open on a limited basis during the summer months. The best way to reach us is by calling 389-1514 or by emailing Mrs. Doran at tdoran@rsu1.org. We will respond to parent questions as quickly as our schedule allows during our summer work; usually Wednesdays. If you have a change of address, phone number, or you move and your child will not return to PES in the Fall, please email or call Mrs. Doran.
END OF YEAR INFO FROM THE NURSE
MEDICATIONS
If your child has medication at school, the medication will need to be picked up by an adult by June 14th at noon. After June 14th, all medications will be discarded by the nurse. Also, please remember that medication administration forms and asthma action plans must be completed annually. Forms need to be completed prior to medications being accepted or administered. If you need these forms, please contact the school nurse: Brandi Tainter at btainter@rsu1.org.
IMMUNIZATIONS
Immunizations: Adequate immunization is a State mandated requirement for attendance in Maine schools. For those children whose immunization status is incomplete, please make a doctor appointment to get their immunizations current. Per State of Maine immunization law, no child will be permitted to attend school without evidence of immunization or proof of immunity against disease. Students enrolled in grades Pre-K through 12 are to be immunized against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, measles, mumps, rubella, polio and varicella. Additionally, all students enrolled in grades 7-12 must be immunized against meningococcal disease. If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse.
SPECIAL NEEDS
Parents are reminded to please contact the school in August if your child develops a condition that may require special needs, so that arrangements may be made prior to the start of school. This would include any broken limbs or new conditions including mobility or dietary restrictions.
THE STAFF AT PES WISHES ALL OF OUR FAMILIES A SAFE AND HAPPY SUMMER!
