This Week at PRMS

π Principal's Corner
Hello families,
As autumn settles in and the temperatures begin to dip, we wanted to take a moment to share a few updates and reminders to help keep our school community healthy, safe, and active!
Dressing for the Weather We believe that outdoor fresh air and daily play are essential for our students' physical and mental well-being. Unless there is extreme weather or heavy precipitation, our students go outside for recess every single day.
With the cooler weather here, please ensure your child comes to school prepared for the outdoor elements. We recommend dressing in layers so students can adjust comfortably throughout the day. Please remember to send your child with:
A warm jacket or coat
Hats and gloves/mittens
Boots and snow pants (when the snow arrives!)
Tip: Please label all jackets, hats, and gloves with your child's first and last name. Our Lost & Found fills up quickly this time of year, and labels help us return missing items to their rightful owners right away!
Staying Healthy & Hydrated Along with cooler temperatures, this season often brings seasonal bugs. You can help us keep our classrooms healthy by reminding your children to wash their hands frequently and practice good hygiene habits. Additionally, even though itβs cooler outside, kids still get thirsty during activity. Please keep sending a refillable water bottle to school.
Attendance Matters!
Regular attendance is key to a successful school year. If your child is going to be absent, please remember to call the main office as early as possible to notify us. Letting us know in advance or on the morning of the absence helps us ensure every student is accounted for and safe. You can contact Mrs. Wien 231-829-3141, option 2. Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our students healthy, safe, and ready to learn!

Students of the Month - October
We are excited to recognize our Students of the Month! These students have demonstrated outstanding effort, good behavior, and a positive attitude. We are so proud of their hard work and accomplishments! Congratulations to all of our Students of the Month! Keep up the great work! π
4th Grade - Carter Koch
Carter started out this month with a bang, being the top fundraiser for 4th grade at the color run! He then went on to be one of the "best dressed" in 4th grade for the entire spirit week! He is an amazing student, with participation in class discussions and an effort to always do his best. He is very respectful and a complete joy to have in class! Keep up the great work, Carter!!
5th Grade - Walter Thomsen
Walter has had an amazing month! He is always on top of his classwork and participates in all of the class disscussions. He truly leads by example everyday with his respectful and positive attitude. Thank you for bringing your effort and postivity to our class! Keep up the good work, Walter!
6th Grade - Vanessa Daily
Vanessa is a great student. She consistently has a smile on her face and is pleasant to talk with. In class she uses a variety of voices when reading aloud, and she demonstrates an aptitude thatβs uncommon for the average 6th grader. Vanessa goes above and beyond the daily requirements--to a point where she is unrecognizable to her teachers even. Vanessa is a joy to teach.
7th Grade - Clara Jackson
