8th Grade Trip 8th Grade Trip

Hello everyone,

While we do not have the final price as of yet for our 8th grade trip, we wanted to give you a "Save the Date" and an estimate. We will have much more detailed information at a later date.

June 2 - Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom

Approximate cost: $72 (Typically, our HSA provides a per-child donation in the $7-$10 range to offset some of the cost).

Collection: There will be a collection window between 2/2-2/12 where permission slips, medical information, and money will be collected.

Parents/Guardians: If you intend on chaperoning, you must have all clearances completed when you turn in your paperwork (parents will not be provided a discount like students from HSA)

*Only students who return their information and payment during the collection window will be guaranteed a space as we must submit final payments for buses.

Families facing financial difficulties should reach out to their child's counselor.

Fall Sports Wraps up Fall Sports Wraps up

Log vs. KMS (Football)

Log College Middle School capped off the season with a 26–0 victory over Klinger to claim the Unity Cup for the fourth consecutive year. The “Log Hogs” offensive line set the tone up front, paving the way for Gahleel S’s three rushing touchdowns and a score from Peyton T. Even “Big Nate” got in on the action, powering through for a two-point conversion. The defense was lights out from the very first snap, highlighted by Lester F’s fumble recovery on Klinger’s opening possession.

The win was a fitting finale to an outstanding season — and a special one for Coach McManus, who closed out his remarkable 25-year coaching career at Log College with an impressive 67% winning percentage. A true testament to his dedication, leadership, and impact on generations of student-athletes.

World Spanish Culture World Spanish Culture

In celebration of Día de los Muertos, The Day of the Dead, 7th graders in Intro to Spanish Culture class created sugar skulls. Making sugar skulls has been a practice for over 300 years and only requires three simple ingredients: sugar, water, and meringue powder. Once the skulls dried, students looked at traditional Mexican examples and patterns before coloring their own designs. The skulls will last for months and are used to decorate ofrendas for the holiday

Lights, Camera, Action Lights, Camera, Action

Grade 7 students in the media production class, "Lights! Camera! Action!," produced a series of images which depicted an array of camera angles. The students demonstrated an understanding of how the position of a camera lens impacts the information perceived by the audience. These novice cinematographers will combine camera angles with movements as they begin to film motion pictures. Stay tuned!
