This is just a friendly reminder that the upcoming weekend is long, with a federal holiday followed by a teacher workday making for a nice 4-day break!
Please note that Lebanon School District follows its own schedule, so older siblings at either the middle or high school do NOT have Tuesday off, only Monday.
Enjoy your time off! We will see you back on January 21, 2026!

The GVS Preschool has two classes. Students who turn 3 on or before September 30th are eligible for the morning class. Students who turn 4 on or before September 30th are eligible for the afternoon class. Spaces are limited so we use a lottery system. Complete the google form below and you will be added to our interest list. We will begin screening registration in February. Our screening date is March 27, 2026.

What’s the big deal about math facts?
From Well Trained Mind…
“Imagine trying to make spaghetti sauce if you didn’t know how to chop an onion, brown ground beef, or measure spices. Even with a recipe, you would find yourself puzzling over every single step: “Do I need to take the skin off the onion first? How high should the heat be when I cook the meat? What’s the difference between a teaspoon and a tablespoon?”
This is how math feels for kids who never master the basic facts: painstaking and hard. Whether they’re learning how to divide decimals, subtract fractions, or multiply polynomials, they spend so much of their working memory on simple calculations that they have no brain space left for understanding new concepts.
That’s why it’s so important that children master the math facts during the elementary years. Once they’ve learned these basic number relationships, they’re much better prepared to tackle challenging topics in their middle school and high school math courses.”

When a customer clicks on the link you’ve sent, it will take them directly to your child’s store to purchase a card, and we will send the card directly to the customer. Depending on the number of cards your child sells, they will get a prize at the end of the fundraiser!
