Welcome 7th-grade Families!!!

It was so wonderful to meet so many of our new 7th grade students and families at Back to School Night last night! We are truly excited to begin this new school year together and are looking forward to all of the learning, growth, and fun that lies ahead. As a team, our top priority is not only supporting your child’s academic success, but also nurturing their heart, character, and overall well-being. Middle school is such an important time of transition, and we want every student to feel encouraged, valued, and confident as they take on new challenges. We know this year will be full of opportunities to celebrate achievements both big and small, and we can’t wait to partner with you to make it a meaningful and memorable year for your child.

HOMEWORK BOARD for students and parents

Please preview this Homework Board that overviews the tasks that are assigned in each 7th-grade core class daily. This is a tool to use with your student to check in about homework completion and to make sure they are filling out their assignment notebook completely and accurately each day! All students will have access to the Homework Board in the 7th-Grade Communications Google Classroom. This board can be check when students are absent as well to help them keep up with the work for that day!

Student HOMEWORK

Any work students do not complete during their workshop time (independent work) in each class should be completed at home that night for homework OR be completed by the expected due date. Some assignments (math) will be due on a daily basis and some assignments (iReady, IXL etc) will be due weekly. Please check in with your child often about what they have due and when!

MISSING vs INCOMPLETE WORK

Any work that is marked as (M) - MISSING in Infinite Campus CAN BE MADE UP by the student by the end of a unit/SOF. Any work that is marked as (I) - INCOMPLETE in Infinite Campuse CANNOT BE MADE UP any longer. INCOMPLETE indicates grading for that assignment is finished and will not be updated further.
