Seeking Wellness Day Volunteers - Monday August 26
Our first Wellness Day is coming up Monday, Aug 26. We are seeking volunteers to lead or assist in facilitating an activity or workshop with the kids. You can propose an activity (yoga, improv, art, dance, etc.!), or help facilitate a Breaking Down the Walls Workshop with our 6th graders with no experience needed. We are also looking for lunchtime (11:50 - 12:45) volunteers to supervise an activity (Wellness Wheel, coloring station, gratitude station, lawn games, etc). Please contact our PTO President, Melissa Schmidt at president@monterapto.com if you can help!
Seeking eBulletin Editor "Shadow"
Are you driven to help the school community learn about upcoming events? Our eBulletin editor is the parent of an 8th grader - so it's time to find someone to "shadow" or share the role so that it may be passed on by the end of the school year (or earlier). No experience necessary, just a willingness to stick to a weekly commitment of compiling and sending out the weekly eBulletin!
Please contact Christy at ebulletin@monterapto.com or Melissa at president@monterapto.com.

Toro Tips
Planning and Review Time: As the year begins, try and schedule time with your student to review each of their classes on Schoology and make sure they understand how to keep track of due dates, know how to submit assignments, track their grades, and communicate with their teacher (via messages on Schoology or email). Students tend to understand texting much more than email! Review ways to format an email and how to communicate respectfully with their teachers via email or Schoology messages.
Check out Toro Tips for more tips, info, and answers to your questions.

Montera Middle School
eBulletin is produced on a weekly basis by the Montera Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) except on holidays. It sometimes contains ads from our sponsors and/or services from the community. These advertisements do not imply endorsement of any product or service by OUSD or Montera Middle School.
If you have news you'd like to include, please send it to eBulletin@monterapto.com by 5pm on Friday. Submissions may be edited for spelling, grammar, brevity and clarity.
