May 12, 2024

Dear Panther Parents and Guardians,

As we celebrate Mother's Day this weekend, I want to extend my warmest wishes to all the incredible mothers in our school community. Your love, dedication, and strength are truly admirable, and we are grateful for everything you do.

A quick reminder: starting this Monday, May 13th, we kindly ask that students refrain from bringing backpacks to school. This helps us maintain a safe and clutter-free environment for everyone.

Thank you for your cooperation and ongoing support. Wishing you all a joyful Mother's Day weekend!

Warm regards,

Jacqulyn E. Bridge

Principal

• EHMS would like to make you aware of an important change the state of Texas has made to Chapter 37 of the Texas Education Code regarding vapes. Under House Bill 114, A student must be placed in District Alternative Education placement DAEP if the student: Uses, Sells, gives, or delivers to another person or even possess a part of an e-cigarette or vape device. KISD has installed vape detectors at all high school campuses and we encourage you to speak with your student about this new law. Killeen ISD is a drug free zone and therefore any and alll drug related charges are automatically enhanced.

• All students should be in dress code. Tights, crop tops, jeans with holes higher than 6 inches, shorts/skirts higher than 6 inches and sagging is not allowed. Please see the attached Student Code of Conduct book for more info.
