Principal's Message Principal's Message

Dear Maple Families,

It has been a strong start to the week at Maple, and it has been wonderful to see students engaged in learning and reconnecting with routines. As we continue through the school year, we want to highlight the importance of regular school attendance, as consistent time in class supports academic growth, relationships, and a sense of belonging. At the same time, we know many illnesses are going around. As always, our priority is health and safety, and we appreciate families keeping students home when they are not feeling well.

This week, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and reflect on the values he championed—treating others fairly, standing up for what is right, and showing kindness, empathy, and respect to all. As we move toward Black History Month in February, we encourage our students to live these values both at school and at home. Students can do this by including others in games and activities, using kind and respectful words, helping a classmate who may be struggling, listening when others are speaking, and showing appreciation for differences. Small actions, practiced daily, make a meaningful impact.

We are excited to introduce our new Office Manager, Emilie Ghafouri, who joined the Maple team over the break. Emilie has already been a wonderful addition to our front office. Be sure to say hello the next time you stop by!

Looking Ahead:

  • Enrollment for the 2026–27 school year is now open. Families with incoming students are encouraged to begin the enrollment process.

  • Our office is currently scheduling school tours for families interested in enrolling at Maple or applying through school choice. Please help us spread the word to friends, neighbors, and families who may be interested in joining our community.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students and helping make Maple a safe, inclusive, and welcoming place for all. We look forward to a meaningful week ahead.

With Mustang Pride,

Meghann O'Weger

Maple Chorus! Maple Chorus!

Please consider signing up for Maple Chorus for the spring! We were unable to run a chorus for the fall due to low enrollment and would love to bring this wonderful tradition back to Maple. Spring chorus culminates with the All-District Chorus Festival at the Civic Arts Plaza and is a wonderful experience for all future performers! We hope to have Maple Mustangs there.
