Adult Transition Center Partners With Local Food Bank

Our Adult Transition Center, through BUSD’s Workability program, has partnered with local food bank, Long Beach Community Table, to provide hands-on work experience opportunities that highlight the importance of community involvement. This collaboration allows our students to develop essential life skills while actively contributing to the well-being of those in need. By working together with the food bank, students gain a deeper understanding of how community support systems operate, fostering a sense of responsibility and compassion and giving them hand-on work in the field of food distribution. This partnership not only empowers our students but also strengthens the bond between our program and the broader community.
