Define360 Summer Camp Newsletter
Week 1 (June 3rd-6th)
As-Salamu Alaykum
It was truly heartwarming to welcome our young campers to the Define 360 summer camp! As we embark on this enriching 7-week journey together, we're thrilled to share with you the highlights of our first week!
This week the curriculum focused on Healing Through Mindfulness: Mindful Relationships ( & Manners ). Thus, students learned about the importance of mindfulness as it helps you stay present and makes you more grateful and happier.
Our curriculum was thoughtfully designed to offer four distinct tracks: the 'Prophetic Heart' track, 'Divine Stories' track, STEM, Art, and Fitness.
Each week, the students will also focus on one new Name of Allah (SWT).
Prophetic Heart: Our campers immersed themselves in the basics of mindfulness and its significance in our lives as Muslims. They learned to be mindful of their actions, knowing that Allah, Ar-Raqeeb, is ever-watchful. This understanding naturally led them to cultivate behaviors that align with pleasing Allah as they were reminded that he sees everything, big and small, and is forever watching over us.Furthermore, they explored the beautiful Name of Allah, Ar-Raqeeb, and its connection to good manners.
In Divine Stories, the students understood the etiquettes of seeking knowledge through the story of Musa (AS) & Khidr from Surah Al Kahf. This narrative served as a rich tapestry from which they extracted wisdom to navigate their own learning journeys, meticulously documenting their reflections in their journals. The week culminated in the memorization and comprehension of the powerful dua: "O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds," accompanied by a creative craft.
STEM:
In our STEM sessions, students engaged in the Foil Boat & Paper Airplane Engineering Challenge, where they approached the task with mindfulness, designing and testing the foil boats & planes with ingenuity and precision.
The result? An exciting and intellectually stimulating experience that fused creativity with scientific inquiry. Our STEM education provides students with real-world experiences and fosters life skills such as creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.

ART
In Art, Sister Nida focused on teaching the students how to collaborate to connect the theme of Mindful Relationships to art! Thus, the students work together and colored in a geometric design with a partner!
Fitness:
At the Define 360 Summer Camp, we believe in nurturing both body and mind. Our fitness activities offer students the opportunity to exercise their bodies and brains, all in one camp! Through a variety of physical activities with Coach Shahid, our students build strength, endurance, power, and teamwork skills while also enhancing their immune systems. From fun games to physical challenges, our fitness track ensures that every camper leaves feeling energized and invigorated.

- Camp takes place from Monday to Thursday. We are closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Lunch:
- Please send your students with a healthy lunch, snack, and water bottle. Please do not send food that needs to be heated up, as we do not have microwaves available for students.
- Because of allergies, there is strictly no sharing of food permitted between students.
ClassDojo & Communication:
- All parents were sent invitations to join their ClassDojo section, which is our online platform utilized for daily updates and secure communication between our teaching staff and parents.
- Please click on the link sent to your email and register as a guardian for your child as soon as possible, as we will only be sending camp updates weekly via email.
- For any questions/issues with ClassDojo, please email summer@define360.online.
We encourage you to engage your child in conversations about their experiences at camp. Ask them about the lessons they learned, the stories they heard, and the projects they worked on. Your involvement is instrumental in fostering a holistic learning environment for our campers.
As we eagerly anticipate week two of our camp, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to you, our supportive families, for entrusting us with the care and education of your children. Your unwavering support is the cornerstone of our success.
Wishing you all a delightful weekend filled with joy and relaxation.
Warm regards,
