TEEN CENTER π
Meet Milo!
Milo is a born leader and is a go-to at Teen Programs. Milo always has a great idea on activities that would help include everyone, and helps staff organize those activities. Milo not only invites friends to all programs and field trips, he is the happiest and most easy going teen in our programs. Heβs always happy to be in programs, around his friends, and always ready to meet someone new. We are so lucky that Milo not only makes time to attend our programs, but always puts in extra effort to continue making them better for everyone.
Thanks Milo, we canβt wait to see you throughout the summer!
Meet Katherin!
Katherin joined our Teen Programs over the past few years, and quickly became a consistent and friendly face. Katherin has a gift to quickly connect with othersβfriends, staff, and others who do not know her yet. If a teen shows up to a program no knowing anyone, Katherin is one of the first teens to offer to let them join her group. Katherin also went out of her comfort zone, and joined Somerville Parks and Rec Girls Flag Football team, and spent a lot of her spring at practice and games. Whenever she could find the time, she would make the effort to get to our Teen Programs. Katherin is always positive, inclusive, and someone everyone gets excited to see at programs.
We are so excited to see Katherin throughout the summer, thanks for everything!

July in Somerville!
Celebrating PARKS AND RECREATION MONTH!
July is Parks and Recreation Monthβa time to celebrate the parks, programs, facilities, and dedicated staff who help build stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.
At Somerville Parks and Recreation, we believe that everyone deserves access to welcoming parks, engaging programs, and opportunities to learn, play, and connect. We are committed to creating inclusive spaces where people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and identities feel valued, respected, and empowered to participate.
Parks and recreation are more than just placesβthey bring neighbors together, promote health and wellness, inspire creativity, and strengthen our community. We are proud to serve Somerville through year-round programs, events, and public spaces that help make our city a great place to live, play, and grow.
Thank you to our participants, families, volunteers, and staff for being part of our recreation community. We look forward to continuing to create opportunities for everyone to get outside, stay active, and make lasting memories together.
