Dekaney High School was full of chatter, laughter and a whole lot of, “Wait, come check this out!” 🎉 The Spring ISD’s GT Expo brought more than 300 students together for a night of sharing what they’ve been working on including a black hole presentation, paper-mâché volcanos and even live turtles! Students stood by their work, talking through their ideas like pros and answering every question that came their way. You could feel the level of dedication the students put into their projects! It was one of those nights where learning felt alive ✨ and everyone walked out knowing a little more than they did before.

College and Career Week brought plenty of big dreams to Cooper Elementary School as students filled the campus with career posters, curious questions and hands-on learning. 🎓✨ Career Day gave Cooper Cowboys a close-up look at exciting paths in aviation, health care, law enforcement, education, culinary arts, graphic design, agribusiness and environmental science. Students also heard from a pilot, first responders, a therapy dog team, a behavior specialist and other professionals who helped make each moment feel real, personal and inspiring. Every visit added a new spark, and Cooper students soaked it all in with wide eyes and big ideas for the future.

History came to life for AP European History students at Carl Wunsche Sr. High School as they stepped outside the classroom to experience it firsthand. After studying major 20th-century conflicts—including World War I, the rise of fascism, World War II, and the Holocaust—under the guidance of AP History teacher Adam Clark, students visited the Holocaust Museum in Houston to strengthen their understanding. The trip connected closely to their reading of Night by Elie Wiesel in English II, adding powerful context to what they’ve learned. As students moved through the exhibits, the experience encouraged reflection, respect, and a deeper awareness of history’s impact—one that will stay with them far beyond the lesson. 📚 A huge thank you to the Holocaust Museum Houston for being such a gracious host for our students!

Energy and commitment showed up in a big way across Spring ISD as campuses hosted engaging STAAR Academic Nights and kept the momentum going during Saturday School—even during Spring Break. 📚✨ Families filled classrooms, learning how to support their students and building stronger connections with schools every step of the way. Spring ISD Pre-K applications for the 2026-27 school year open April 1, and families are encouraged to get ready now. The early years shape everything. Children ages 3 and 4 build critical skills in reading, problem-solving and social development that prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. District data shows students who attend Spring ISD Pre-K perform stronger on third grade STAAR Reading and Math assessments. A strong start matters!

FREE PK3 is available for eligible 3-year-olds who live within district boundaries or are children of Spring ISD employees. FREE PK4 is open to qualifying 4-year-olds, regardless of residency. Space is limited at select campuses, so early application is key. Families should begin gathering required documents now so they are ready when the application goes live. Visit the Spring ISD Pre-K website starting April 1 to apply and secure your child’s seat. Big learning begins here. 💚 Click here for more information!
