An Amazing Event for the Community: Violins of Hope
Join us for an exhibit and concert on Thursday, January 8! The West Bend School District hosts instruments from the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra's Violins of Hope exhibit—string instruments once owned by Jewish musicians before and during the Holocaust.
These instruments were played by Jewish musicians in concentration camps, in hiding, and in the ghettos and have been painstakingly restored. Our talented West Bend High School orchestra, band, and choir students will perform pieces of remembrance and student artwork will be on display with the instruments. Special thanks to the West Bend Public Schools Foundation for supporting this event.
