Students spent the day learning about what it takes to be a leader, how to empower empathy, and portray qualities of people who inspire them. One student said she was so glad that she was able to attend the conference! Way to build that Fox leadership!!
Intro to Criminal Justice Students visit Winnebago County Courthouse
Ms. Jentz and Mr. Schumacher took the Intro to Criminal Justice students as well as a few AP World students to the Winnebago County Court house. Judge Bisset invited us into his court room to listen to and observe the court proceedings. He invited us into his office in between sessions where students could do a Q& A.
Students were able to hear over 20 court cases, with many of them going right to sentencing.
Thank you Judge Bissett for having us in your courtroom and answering all our questions!

IN THE KNOW
PASS THE BUCKET
January 30th Girls Game
Omro vs Winneconne
Support comes in many shapes and forms. We are asking you to help us to
support Berlin’s Head Coach and educator, Ray Mlada, as he navigates his cancer journey.
In order to do that, we will be Passing the Bucket to start the 2nd half of the Varsity game.. There
will be one minute on the clock and we will pass buckets throughout the stands
to raise as much money as we can. All proceeds will go to Ray and his family.
There will also be supportive cards available for you to fill out for Ray and his family. The more we
can send to him, the better. If you would like to bring your own card filled out, we would be happy to include it with all the others.
Ray was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma and had surgery
yesterday to remove the tumor and reconstruct the jaw where they are taking it from.
His PET scan showed the cancer has metastasized to the lymph nodes on the left side
of his neck so the surgery included removal of those lymph nodes as well
Notice of Annual Three-Year-Old Screening
The School District of Omro will be conducting a three-year-old developmental screening on Monday, February 26, 2024 at HB Patch Elementary from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children who will turn 3 years of age by September 1, 2024 and reside within the School District of Omro boundaries are eligible to be screened. The screening is offered annually to look at the areas of fine and gross motor skills, basic school readiness skills, speech sound production and communication. If a child is found to have significant delays after being further evaluated, programming such as the Early Childhood program or Speech and Language therapy may be recommended.
A letter and questionnaire about children’s development were sent to parents of children who are on the district's census list and within the screening age. If you did not receive a letter and questionnaire for your child, please contact Jaime Ellison at (920) 303-2300 x2249 or complete the screening questionnaire online at https://www.asqonline.com/family/5b4d1d. Appointments are needed to attend the screening. Please note that we do not screen children who do not currently live within the School District of Omro boundaries, even if you intend to apply for open enrollment for your child in the future. Contact your district of residence to inquire about their screening process.
