Dear Wessagusset Families,

It was a busy and exciting week at Wessagusset, with lots of positive energy throughout the building!

Report cards were posted for family access on Friday afternoon. Please log in to ASPEN to review your student’s report card. We encourage you to take time to celebrate your student’s achievements and effort in reaching their learning goals during the first term, while also noting any focus areas for term two.

Our school community had so much fun during Spirit Week! Due to an issue with our messaging service last week, we are extending Festive Hat Day to tomorrow. Students are welcome to wear their favorite festive or holiday-themed hat to school.

A heartfelt thank-you to our Parent Council for organizing the Holiday Shop. The excitement and joy our students experienced while shopping for special gifts for their families was truly priceless.

We wrapped up the week with an All-School Assembly on Friday afternoon, featuring a special performance by the Wess Musical Theater students. The students did an outstanding job, and the performance was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Reminder, Tuesday is a full day of school and the final day before our break.

This will be our last newsletter of 2025. As we head into the Holiday Break, we want to thank our families for your continued partnership and support.

We wish everyone a wonderful Holiday Break filled with rest, joy, and special moments together with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming our students back refreshed and ready for 2026 on Monday, January 5th!.

We wish you and your family a peaceful Holiday Season and a very Happy New Year!

Kind regards,

Mrs. Jango, Principal

Mrs. Reinhart, Assistant Principal

Dear Wessagusset Families,

A beautiful snowfall today! We hope you have enjoyed the weekend!

Our School Council will meet at 3:20 in the Wessagusset library on Tuesday. This meeting is open to all.

In an effort to maintain a focused and educational environment, we have made changes to student access on school-issued devices. Currently, students no longer have access to Google Chat, as this feature is not aligned with the educational goals at the elementary level.

We’re celebrating the season with our Holiday Spirit Week! Students are invited to participate by wearing holiday-themed items each day. Take a look at the themes below and join the fun!

Have a great week!

Kind regards,

Mrs. Jango, Principal

Mrs. Reinhart, Assistant Principal

Holiday Shop Information

Our in-school Holiday Shop will be happening this year on Wednesday, December 17th, and Thursday, December 18th, during school hours. This is a fantastic tradition where students are able to shop for their family and friends, and bring home bags to decorate for wrapping. All items will be priced at $1 each and there will be a limit to 10 gifts per student. If financial assistance is needed, please reach out to Mrs. Sarah Machado, school counselor.

If your child is absent from school on their shopping day, you can send in their envelope/list with their sibling OR drop off your child’s list/envelope at the cart in front of the main doors and our Parent Council volunteers will shop for them. Please make sure your child’s full name and homeroom are listed on the envelope, along with the name and age of each person so that our shoppers can pick out some great gifts! We will reach out to let you know when your bag is ready. Holiday Shop Forms & Envelopes will go home with students tomorrow, Monday December 15th.

If you have any questions, reach out by email to: ajrobbins81@gmail.com (Amy Robbins)

December 7, 2025

Dear Wessagusset Families,

We hope you are enjoying a peaceful weekend. Before Thanksgiving break, our students participated in a wonderful All-School Assembly centered on the theme of gratitude. Each grade level created a special gift to say “thank you” to members of our broader community. We were honored to welcome several special guests, including Mayor Molisse, Superintendent Curtin, Assistant Superintendent Fratolillo, members of the Fire Department, and members of the Weymouth Food Pantry.

Our first graders opened the assembly with a joyful Alphabet Parade, proudly wearing their student-made vests to represent each letter of the alphabet. They did a fantastic job showcasing their learning and creativity in front of the entire school community.

Mrs. Loud's class and Mrs. Lindquist's class participated in 'Balloons over Wess' on Tuesday, 11/25, with wonderful support from our 4th and 5th-grade Best Buddies. Our Best Buddies also partnered with Mrs. Loud's class to create planets as part of their Solar System study.

The Best Buddies program continues to provide meaningful leadership opportunities for our fourth- and fifth-grade students, while fostering collaboration, responsibility, and connection across grade levels.

Reminder: Tuesday, 12/9 is an Early Release Day - Students are dismissed at 11:50.

Have a great week!

Kind regards,

Mrs. Jango, Principal

Mrs. Reinhart, Assistant Principal
