Honoring All Troy 30-C Staff During Appreciation Week!
From May 5th to May 9th, Troy 30-C will celebrate Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week—a special time to recognize and thank every member of our amazing team. From teachers and support staff to administrators and custodians, each person plays a vital role in creating a positive, supportive environment where our students can thrive.
We invite our entire #TogetherTroy community to join us in showing appreciation for the care, dedication, and hard work our staff bring to school every day. Whether it’s a kind note, a smile, or a thoughtful gesture, let’s come together to make this week meaningful for those who make Troy 30-C such a special place.
Stay tuned for ways you can get involved and help us celebrate the heart of our district—our incredible staff!

Notes from the Nurse
Spring is in the air, and so is pollen!
Welcome Spring! Unfortunately, with it comes increased allergy and asthma symptoms. Managing springtime allergy symptoms is essential and even more important if your child has asthma.
Symptoms of allergies can include coughing, sneezing, watery eyes, runny nose. Asthma symptoms can include coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightening. Neither allergies nor asthma will cause fever. Contact your child’s doctor if they develop a fever.
What can you do?
Provide an updated action plan
If your child has asthma, an asthma action plan is essential when managing your child’s symptoms in school. Action plans help identify triggers and spell out what steps to take in case of a flare-up or an emergency.
Monitor the pollen forecast
You can track pollen count just as you track the weather. Tracking the pollen count helps you limit or avoid outdoor activities when the count is high, choosing indoor fun instead.
Wash away pollen
If your child has been playing outdoors, have them wash their hands and face and change their clothes right away when they come inside for the day.
Close the windows
Fresh air is great if you don’t have allergies or asthma. Open windows invite blowing pollen right into your homes, which can cause a flare-up of symptoms. If you keep your windows open, dust and vacuum frequently to get rid of pollen, and wash bedding often, too.
Change indoor air filters
Whole-house air filtration systems, air conditioners, and furnaces are great for improving indoor air quality and comfort levels, but they can also harbor dust and germs. Remember to change filters on the first of every month.
Talk with your child’s doctor
Asthma can quickly become a medical emergency. Talk with your doctor to see what treatments are appropriate for your child.
