Learning Through Exploration
This week in Kindergarten we spent a lot of time practicing spelling our names! Students got to show off their cutting skills by making a collage of their name. Many were excited to show off their work and see it hanging in the hallway!
First and Second Grade with Ms. Sanchez
Kind words help us grow!
We had another great week in first and second grade! This week we read and talked about how unkind words can wilt us and our hearts and how when we say nice things to each other, they help us grow. During this activity, we crumpled up hearts to show that they were wilted and then wrote kind words on band aids to help heal the hearts. We also got to have our first Cornucopia session this week to help us connect everything together!
Ms. Parisi's Third and Fourth Graders!
What a Great Week!
It’s been a fantastic start to third and fourth grade! What do you do when you are feeling blue? Or yellow? Ms. Parisi's class is working to develop strategies to help them feel green and ready to go. Ask your child more about the Zones of Regulation at home.
Art with Mr. Melle
Our artists continue to make the most of their studio time. They have been lighting up our W.O.W. galleries as they proudly contribute their Wonderful Original Works!
I look forward to seeing even more imaginings when I return for the week of October 15th.
Thank you for supporting creativity!

Hopes and Dreams! What Will the Future Bring?
Every year students create a Hope and Dream for the school year. It is a way for them to envision the future they want. It opens up discussion about how they want to grow as learners and members of the FES community. It also encourages them to reflect and take ownership of their own learning. Teaching them to build off their weakness and turn them into strengths. Ask your child about what they hope to grow in as learners this year.
FES PTO
