SB 351 Lesson 5 Summary
On Thursday, November 20th, RHHS students participated in their fifth and final Parent Pro Tech lesson on digital citizenship & online safety. This final lesson titled, “So You Want to Be a Content Creator?”, asked students to consider what it takes to be a responsible, ethical content creator. Students explored the creator economy and unpacked what it means to be an authentic, ethical content creator. Students examined challenges faced by digital content creators and the audiences that follow them. Whether students aspire to be content creators or simply consume content online, they left equipped with critical thinking skills and the ethical awareness needed to navigate online content responsibly.
To reinforce this lesson with your child at home, the following discussion points can be used:
- What does it mean to be a content creator in the digital age?
- How does the creator economy influence the way we consume and create content?
- What are the ethical considerations and challenges content creators’ encounter?
- How can we create and share content responsibly while respecting intellectual property rights?
RHHS is using the state-approved Parent Pro Tech curriculum to satisfy the requirements of Georgia Senate Bill 351 (SB351). Georgia SB351 is designed to enhance student safety and digital awareness through instruction on responsible online behavior, recognizing and avoiding harmful online content, and engaging families in digital safety conversations. The bill mandates that schools provide age-appropriate lessons to students on digital citizenship and online safety and that parents be informed and included throughout the process.
Families are welcomed & encouraged to sign up for a free Parent Pro Tech account to view resources and activities to utilize at home!

Car-rider/parent drop-off information - Click Here
- If you are dropping off a car rider, please stay in the right lane and keep the left lane open when entering the round-a-bout for our student drivers.
- When dropping your child off in the morning and when picking them up in the afternoon, we kindly ask that you pull all the way down to the sidewalk right before the student parking lot B entry and ensure that your child is ready to unload as soon as you stop. This will allow for us to clear Belfast Keller and keep traffic rolling. Is it further than curbside drop-off? Yes. Is it going to allow for more cars to drop off at once? Yes. Is it a safe alternative? Absolutely. We appreciate you working with us so we can clear the car line in a timely fashion.
- If I arrive with my child prior to the 7am opening of school can they disembark from the car? Yes. We would appreciate you going ahead and letting them out. They are welcome to wait outside in the front of the school or step into the air conditioned foyer of the building prior to all-staff arrival.
