Fox Hill Families,

We are excited to get the 25-26 school year started very soon. We hope you've been able to spend the first half of your summer relaxing by the pool, spending time outdoors, reading books, and enjoying time together as a family.

Over the summer, our team has been working hard to update Fox Hill with new floors, new bathrooms, updated paint, new AC units, intercom and ceiling updates, and more. We can't wait for you to see the changes!

As the summer begins to wind down, we will start sending necessary enrollment information, school supply lists, important back to school dates and so much more over the next month.

Please know that due to construction restrictions, our front office is open by appointment only at this time. Pending construction progress, after July 29th, our office will be open from 8:00-4:00 each day and are happy to help and assistance with any back to school questions you may have.

Arrival – 9:00 AM

School Day 9:15 AM – 4:10PM

All students will be getting a new iPad this year. This means students are required to have headphones with a USB-C port. I have attached a link to a suitable option available on Amazon. It is recommended to avoid Bluetooth headphones, as this could lead to difficulties in connectivity and identification in a classroom setting. I know classroom teachers would appreciate it.

Returning students are those who were enrolled in NKC Schools during the previous 2024-25 school year (or attended summer school in 2025) and will be continuing to attend in the upcoming year, 2025-26.

Follow these steps to complete registration:

1. If you already have a parent account created, follow the link in the PowerSchool Parent Portal to complete the registration process.
   
2. If you do not have a parent portal account already created, click here for directions on how to create your account in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. You must first receive your parent access letter from your student’s building to create an account in Parent Portal to complete the registration process. Please note that building offices may be closed during the month of July, especially at the elementary level.

Directions are available in Arabic, Dari, Haitian Creole, Pashto and Spanish.

Please click here to enroll for the 2025-26 school year. After you create an account, click on "New Student Registration 2025-2026".

In order to save time, it is important to gather required documents that will be needed for registration and ensure you have access to update your student's medical and personal information. The required documents include:

• Updated medical information including an up-to-date Immunization Record
• Updated personal records. For example:
  • Current home addresses
  • Updated cell phone numbers to contact guardians
  • Updated cell phone numbers for emergency contacts

Kindergarten Families: Students beginning kindergarten in the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. Those brand-new to the district should complete New Families enrollment above. Students who attended a NKC Schools program (this includes NKC preschool or K2K) should complete Returning Families enrollment above.

This is also a good time to complete Free and Reduced Lunch (FRL) Applications.

You’ll notice a question in your enrollment process about free and reduced meals, but this is not an application. You’ll need to complete this process online. We encourage every family to complete the free and reduced application process as quickly as possible.

• Click here to go to the online application. It can be completed on a computer or a phone.
• You can also visit the district website at www.nkcschools.org, then hover over Families, then click Pay for Meals & Fees.

View your child’s bus stop information, pick-up and drop-off times in the Parent Portal. Simply log in and click the Transportation tab on the left. Bus stop information for 2025-26 will be available in August 2025.
