How Long Does My Child Need to Stay Home After Diarrhea or Vomiting How Long Does My Child Need to Stay Home After Diarrhea or Vomiting

A reminder that children must stay home for 48 hours after vomiting or experiencing diarrhea. These are rules dictated by KFL& A Public Health. Students should not return to school for two days after symptoms stop.

Pitch In Week Pitch In Week

Last week, students pitched in and cleaned up our school yard and neighbourhood parks. This is a great way to care for our environment. Well done, Stingers!

Come join us for a night of dancing, food, fun, and western vibes at the Italo-Canadian Club of Kingston in support of The Food Sharing Project. Dust off your boots, put on your best cowboy hat, and get ready to kick up your heels on the dance floor.

Once you've parked your car (or hitched your horse), wander in to the beautiful Italo-Canadian Club, and pick up a beverage to enjoy as you take a gander at the dozens of silent auction items donated by school communities and local businesses, and make yer bids.

When you get a hankerin' for a bite to eat, visit the Western-themed food stations that will open throughout the night, lovingly prepared by Chef Chris Couto - who will be carving the brisket. (Check out the mouth-waterin' menu in the FAQ section below). If you need to wet your whistle, the licensed cash bar will be open for you to enjoy.

Mix and mingle, or have a seat and enjoy good company. But you won't stay down for long, because the line dancing is about to begin. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner two-stepper, you'll be sure to have some fun. Why not give it a whirl!

When you need a break, don't forget to go back to the silent auction tables, in case some scoundrel is trying to outbid you.

After you've caught your breath, had some vittles and a drink (or two), it's time for Steve Cheesman and the Heeters to take the stage, and time to hit the dance floor.

Oh yeah...don't forget about them silent auction tables. Bid often, bid high! It all goes to a good cause.

So grab your friends, grab your partner, and get ready for a boot-scootin' good time!

(Note: This is an adults only 18+ event)

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE NIGHT

  • Line dancing led by experienced instructor - anyone is welcome to join in...no experience necessary.
  • Incredible Western-themed food stations that will open throughout the evening - charcuterie, sliders, nachos & chili, hand-carved beef brisket and dessert.
  • Licensed cash bar will be open all night.

  • Live music by Steve Cheesman and the Heeters to dance the night away.
  • Having a great time while raising funds to help The Food Sharing Project continue to provide healthy food to schools in KFL&A, every single day.

School Parking Lot Safety Reminder School Parking Lot Safety Reminder

zoom_out_map

Please ensure you use the entrance to the parking lot when you arrive at school and that you leave by the exit. Also a reminder that the parking lot is closed to cars (except for staff vehicles from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.). Please do not park in the parking lot between 8:30 and 9:30 as staff need to be able to park their cars and we do not have a lot of parking spots. If your child walks to school, please remind them to use the walkways rather than crossing through the parking lot. Thank you for your help in ensuring students' safety.

Dismissal Time Reminders Dismissal Time Reminders

We have noticed at dismissal time that some students are running through the garden in front of the school. Once dismissed, students should go to their parent and not run around in the garden. Thanks for helping us keep our gardens looking great!
