Halloween & Costumes Halloween & Costumes

At Lockwood, we are an inclusive community where all who attend are never put into a position where they cannot participate in an event based on religion or cultural beliefs. For some, the practice associated with wearing costumes goes against their values and teachings. Aside from religious or cultural concerns, we also want to avoid putting financial pressure on parents. Therefore, we will continue to not participate in the practice of wearing costumes. Our celebration for October will be around fall and the change this brings for all. We will engage in parties and art activities which bring joy to students and allows for fun and social engagement.

VOLUNTEERS MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE VOLUNTEERS MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE

When volunteers commit to serving at a school, students achieve higher grades, have access to more opportunities, and gain community connections to help them thrive.

Safety Reminders for Parent Drop-Off Safety Reminders for Parent Drop-Off

Please help us keep morning drop-off safe and efficient.

  • No Early Drop-Off Please do not drop off your students before 9:10 a.m. when morning supervision starts.

  • Pull forward Pulling as far forward in the drop-off zone as possible allows us to unload more vehicles at a time.

  • Exit Cubside For their safety, students should exit the vehicle on the cub side only.

  • Unload Quickly Have your student organized and ready to quickly exit the vehicle. We can help your child get their coat or backpack outside of the vehicle more effectively.
