JackrabbitsNewsletterBuilding on our Success Nov. 13th - 17th

Week #5 of Marking Period 2

Greetings Jackrabbits,

Hopefully you had an opportunity to spend some time with a loved one or family friend, veteran this weekend. As we prepare for a season of hope, I thank you for your continued support in ensuring we work together to have our students strive for achievement academically and socially. This upcoming week our scholars are taking a few very important Interim Assessments in grades third, fourth, and fifth. See our testing calendar below for more detail. We need healthy students in school everyday and all day.

First ever, a family night of math fun games, activities and resources will be made available for all ages on Wednesday the 15th from 4 to 6 p.m. in our cafeteria. This opportunity lends itself to highlighting what students are experiencing in their classrooms. It's exciting to host an evening of fun for students and their family. Come join in on the excitement. Concessions will be available.

Again, I plead to all for your patience and diligence to attention to safety in commuting to and from our school. It has been brought to our attention that a selected few continue to place their children, themselves and others in harms way. Construction has and will continue to be of concern around both our elementary and middle schools. Needless to say, heavy equipment, barricades and other obstacles will cause delays. Please be safe by using designated cross walks and obeying traffic signs in our area. Respect law enforcement and our security personnel as they are here to keep all of us safe. Know that we are here to assist you. Thank you so much for doing your part. We are blessed to have great parents working together ensuring safety for all.

Only weeks away from December which bring us to showcasing the artistic talents of your child, our students with the breath-taking Christmas programs. This year we promise to bring a bigger and brighter show. With this in mind, we have adjusted the after school tutoring to end this month. Last day for after school tutoring will be on Nov. 30th. No tutoring during the week of our winter performances.

Thank you for entrusting our team with serving your child(ren).

At your service,

Fernando L. Miranda

School Principal
