Next week (April 22-26), our District will be celebrating Autism Awareness and Acceptance Week. Various activities will be occurring at each of our schools focusing on autism facts and celebrating all of the great talents and skills people with autism share with us. Daily announcements and discussions about autism will take place, so all students and staff have a better understanding and acceptance of people with differences. Please remember to wear blue next Friday (April 26) to honor our friends with autism.

SHS Dance Team Tryouts
CLICK HERE to register for the upcoming SHS Dance Team tryouts (registration required). Clinics will be held on Monday, 4/22 from 6-8pm and Tryouts will be held on Friday 4/26 at 5pm in the SHS Main Gym and are open to current 8th through 11th grade students. Dancers will learn the audition material at the clinic and come prepared to perform it at the audition. This team is made up of the most highly skilled and trained dancers at SHS. They perform at home varsity boys’ basketball games and compete at the regional and state level in the categories of jazz, hip-hop, lyrical/contemporary, and pom. This year, they were named State Champions in the category of Lyrical and placed in the top 5 in the state for Hip-hop, Pom, and Jazz.
