BPD3 Newsletter - September 2025
September 2025
Welcome to our first monthly Beach Park District 3 Community Email Newsletter! We are looking forward to sharing districtwide updates on teaching and learning, family and community partnerships, and celebrating our amazing students and staff.
This year’s theme, “Sparking Curiosity, Igniting Core Memories,” is about more than just a slogan. It reflects the powerful role our schools play in helping every student believe they can learn, lead, and succeed.
Please enjoy this update and stay connected with us throughout the year.

Our Dual Language Immersion Program Grows
The Dual Language program is now fully implemented in grades K–5, serving more than 280 students this year. Next year, the program will expand to the middle school, giving students even more opportunities to grow as bilingual and bicultural leaders.
In this innovative environment, native English and Spanish speakers learn together. The program is designed to help students:
Achieve grade-level academic performance in both Spanish and English.
Grow confidence, self-esteem, and cross-cultural understanding.
Benefit from the cognitive advantages of learning a second language during the primary years.
The Dual language Leadership Team is hard at work planning for the roll up to middle school in the 2026-2027 school year! Thank you to them for their dedication, their problem solving, and their leadership in helping to grow the program each year!
We Need YOU! Take the Communication Survey
Just as our students receive progress reports, we want one too!
Please take a few minutes to complete our Communication Survey to help us better connect with families and improve the way we share important information.
Read with Us – BPD3 Book Club
Join us in our virtual book club featuring the New York Times bestseller and viral hit, The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt.
Digital copies available in English and Spanish by request; email Dr. D.
Chapter 1 thoughts will be included in our October 15 newsletter
Each month we will cover one chapter, and by the end of the year we will invite everyone who participated in the Book Club to come in and engage in open discussion about what we learned from the book, how we can use our learning to support our students, and celebrate our learning with food and cake!
Registration Improvements
We heard your feedback, and we’re working to make registration simpler, faster, and more family-friendly. More updates will be shared as improvements roll out this year. Thank you for sharing your voice with us.
Building a Blue Ribbon Future
Our district-wide journey toward Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence continues this fall, and we’ll share progress along the way. Join us on December 2 for our annual State of the Schools, where we’ll celebrate milestones and outline next steps for our students’ success.
Coming Soon – This October!
This is a new opportunity to connect as a community and engage in conversations about our schools and educating our young learners.
We will share information in our next newsletter, on our app, and on our social media channels.
Stay Tuned!
We Make Core Memories at BPD3
At Beach Park, we believe that school should be a place where children build the kinds of memories that last a lifetime — the friendships, the encouragement, and the moments of discovery that help shape who they are.
This year, we’ll be spotlighting teachers and staff across the district who are creating these unforgettable experiences for students. Their stories will remind us all of the extraordinary people who make Beach Park such a special place to learn, lead, and succeed.
