Back to School Edition Part 2
Webster Elementary

A Wonderful Start at Webster
Dear Webster Families,
What a wonderful start to the school year! We are settling into our routines, and it has been so exciting to see the learning, growth, and connections happening throughout Webster. Our students are working hard, learning new things, and becoming more comfortable with their school routines each day.
Next week, students will begin setting learning goals with their teachers, along with our i-Ready Inform assessments for K–4 and Acadience testing for K–2. Please remind your child to do their very best, take their time, and show us what they know. We are excited to see their growth!
Your partnership at home makes such a difference. Please continue to remind your child about listening to their teacher, keeping their hands to themselves, being kind, and working hard.
Thank you for all you do to support your child each day. I truly appreciate the way our families and staff are working together to make Webster a place where our students feel supported, cared for, and ready to learn.

Morning Drop off Reminder
Morning Drop-Off Reminder
We really need your help following our morning drop-off procedures. We have had a week to settle into our routines and get used to coming to school each morning. Following these procedures helps keep arrival safe and moving smoothly for everyone.
If you are dropping your child off, please use the car line and remain in your vehicle. Students should exit on the passenger side and enter the building independently. We have several friendly faces outside each morning ready to welcome your child and help them safely into the school.
Please do not drop your child off and have them walk across the crosswalk with you. When this happens, we have to stop the entire line to allow them to cross safely, which delays all of the families waiting in line.
If you need to come into the office, please park and walk your child in we are happy to help you. If you are simply dropping off, please stay in your vehicle and use the car line.
Students arriving after 8:00 a.m. must be walked into the office and signed in.
Thank you for helping us keep arrival safe, smooth, and moving for everyone! We truly appreciate your help as we settle into our morning routines.
Purposeful People with Mrs. Hartley and Lucy🐾
Mrs. Hartley, our school counselor, is sharing the program Purposeful People this semester to help our students grow important character strengths. This month, we are focusing on kindness.
Please take a moment to look through the attached newsletters to learn more about Purposeful People and how you can continue the conversation about kindness at home.

🧑🏻🍳Notes from Nurse Susie:
Dear Parent or Guardian
Hearing and Vision are important to your child’s ability to learn and progress at school. Indiana state law requires schools to conduct hearing screenings on students in grades first, fourth, seventh, and tenth. Vision screenings are required in grades first, third, fifth and eighth. These screenings will be conducted this fall. If you do not wish for your child to participate in the screenings, please notify the school in writing.
Estimado padre, madre o tutor:
