Math Recover Course 1
Math Recovery®'s Add+VantageMR® Course 1 focuses on:
• Learning Framework in Number
• Math Recovery®'s Add+VantageMR® assessments for Number Words & Numerals, Structuring Numbers, and Addition & Subtraction
• Classroom instructional Framework for Early Number
Participants examine video excerpts illustrative of each aspect of the Learning Framework in Early Number. Teachers will gain a detailed understanding of how children develop early numeracy.
Math Recovery®'s Add+VantageMR® provides teachers with efficient and effective assessment tools to recognize their students’ current understanding of number concepts and to support data-driven instruction.

Math Recovery AVMR Course 2
The place value diagnostic assessment identifies a student’s conceptual level for place value along with levels for the underlying skills needed for the complete development of place value understanding.
The multiplication and division assessment identifies a student’s conceptual level for multiplication and division along with the
levels for the underlying skills needed for the complete development of multiplicative understanding.
Teachers examine the resulting data from these diagnostic assessments and explore how the data can inform differentiated
teaching. Participants will examine select exemplary teaching settings to illustrate the informed approach to teaching.
Course 1 is a prerequisite to Course 2.
