PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Welcome back to everyone! We are settling back into our routines nicely.

Today we had our monthly assembly where we celebrated January Birthdays, gave out our Academic Achievement and Triple Pillar awards, honored the Artists of the Month and had fun with Spirit Day Friday: Hat Day.

For last month’s homeroom challenge, students created cards and letters for the senior citizens in our area. Ms. Barker delivered the greetings over winter break and they were received with much gratitude. At the assembly today, the students viewed a video clip of a thank you from one senior citizen who received our cards.

They then learned about this month’s challenge: The Falcon Eye Challenge! The students will be doing a variety of activities that engage them in observation skills throughout the month. It should be fun!

ATTENDANCE & DISMISSAL EMAIL ATTENDANCE & DISMISSAL EMAIL

FMS has a new email address for parents/guardians to communicate information about attendance, early dismissal, and other changes to your students day. This is the best email to reach us for these needs because it will streamline communication to both secretaries (Ms. Holly & Ms. Betsi) so we do not miss important information.

You may also see emails from this address to you when your student is not at school and we have not received a phone call or email. You can respond easily to this email to let us know the reason your student is absent. The new email address is fms-attendance@rsu1.org.

Thank you for transitioning to this new email address. We hope you find it as useful as we do!
