Kindergarten Readiness Tip 14

Welcome aboard! Each week you will receive tips to help your child prepare for this amazing journey. We are honored to partner with you and your child as they begin this school adventure at North Penn!

Please Save the Dates for the following exciting opportunities to help with the journey into kindergarten:

• Kindergarten Orientation:

• Monday, August 31st @ an assigned time

• Families will be given additional information in an invitation from the school

Strong Start to Kindergarten: September 1st - September 9th

Take the time to explain to your child it is normal to have mixed feelings about starting kindergarten. Many kids are both excited and nervous about beginning this new adventure. If they are feeling nervous, help them name what it is they are feeling nervous about and brainstorm ways to help. Let them know that kindergarten is a safe place and that their teachers are so excited to meet them!
