Promises & Perils of AI Book Study

Book Study Spring Cohort Schedule
We are so excited to offer a spring book study cohort on Ken Shelton and Dee Lanier's book "The Promises and Perils of AI in Education". This book study moves beyond basic AI literacy to examine crucial questions of equity, ethics, and responsible implementation in our schools.
As a part of this cohort, your learning experience begins with a virtual kickoff session where we'll set the stage for our collective exploration. As you progress through each chapter, you'll engage with thoughtfully designed asynchronous activities in miPLACE that deepen your understanding of how to balance the potential benefits and harms of AI in education. The book study culminates in a virtual reflection session where we'll synthesize our insights and plan concrete next steps.
This study is ideal for educators who have a bit of foundational AI knowledge and want to deepen their understanding of its ethical implications.
