As you are gathering supplies and preparing for the exciting first day of school, here are a few important reminders to ensure you and your student have a memorable and successful start.

• Student drop-off is on Tarrant Street. Please drop your child off at the doors marked cafeteria, not the front doors. There is NO student drop-off at the gym, with the exception of early morning practices. BJH doors open at 7:20, and there will be no supervision before that time.

• Breakfast is served at 9:00. The students participate in our Breakfast in the Classroom Program. If a student chooses to eat their own snack at this time, they may. This is the ONLY time that any bag (lunch box) or food is allowed in our classrooms. We are aware that our lunches are late, and we serve breakfast later to help with that.

• Upon arrival, all students, including walkers, riders, and bus students, are to report immediately to the cafeteria or the auditorium. Please note that no food or drinks are allowed in the auditorium, but students are welcome to eat in the cafeteria. Students do not move back and forth between locations, ensuring a smooth and organized start to the day.

• Phones may be used and power on until the bell at 7:50. They must be powered of and stored at that time until the final bell at 4:05.

• Please see the bell schedule for any questions regarding daily happenings, such as lunch times.

• Any food deliveries may only be made during the student's lunchtime.

• If your child uses a lock with a key, please have them drop off the extra key in the front office.

• If you are picking your student up after school, you should do so on Tarrant St. Please avoid double parking so that traffic may continue to move. Buses use the lane in front of the gym. NO vehicles are allowed in that lane after school. Parents may also pick up their child from the gym parking lot. For student safety, we require students to use the crosswalk despite their location in the gym parking lot.

• If your child was unable to drop of their school supplies at Meet the Teacher last night, feel free to send them with a little each day. There is no need to overwhelm them with carrying too much at a time.

• Students who have not completed registration will be asked to contact a guardian to complete this process in person. Online registration is now closed.
