HMS Helpful Hints - Absences and Make-up Work

Returning to school after even a brief absence can be tough!

What did I miss?

When is the work due?

How can I get caught up?

To help our students increase their level of independence and ownership of their own learning, the Voyagers team in grade six has put together this helpful checklist for students who have been absent.

We're sure it would be helpful to any student who has been out!

Grade Eight DC Trip Parent Info Meeting - Slides Available and Financial Aid Info

Thank you to all who were able to attend our Parent Info meeting for our DC trip.

For those who were not able to be there, or anyone who would ;like to review the information shared at the meeting, the slides are below.

We are aware that there was a problem with the QR code used last night, and it has been updated in this version of the slides.

Please pay particular attention to slide 10, which deals with the requirements for sending and administering medications. We need your help with this in order to safely run a trip of this size and scope.

The deadline to apply for financial aid has been moved up to 12/15/26. Please email Alison Janulewicz with requests/questions: ajanulewicz@hinghamschools.org

HMS is Here to Help

We understand that making ends meet can be difficult for some families in our HPS community. Therefore, we want to let you know that there are individuals in each of our schools who are ready to provide information and assistance. Resources may be available to help families in times of financial need or other challenging situations. Our particular area of outreach is for food support for the upcoming holidays.

Please don’t hesitate to contact an administrator, the school nurse, or counseling personnel at your child's school if you are in need of food support for the holidays. Rest assured that your request will be managed in a way that respects your rights to confidentiality.

The World Culture Club had a great time celebrating Hispanic Heritage month. We made papel picados, enjoyed chips and salsa, and tasted Jarritos sodas as well.
