Dear Eastside Families,

September was a wonderful month at Eastside! We celebrated exciting moments together—our new playground equipment is finally here and being installed as I write this. We hosted over 400 of you during PTK's Donuts with Grownups event, and the Barrus Scholarship Glow Walk was a beautiful evening honoring Mrs. Cheryl Turk-Barrus. With your help, we raised nearly $5,000 through PTK's Krispy Kreme Fundraiser! Thank you to all who joined and supported these events.

Looking ahead, October brings even more opportunities for students and families to engage with our school community:

STEAM & GLOW Family Night is an annual, cannot-miss event at Eastside! This exciting evening combines Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through hands-on activities that families and students of all ages can enjoy together. It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore, create, and celebrate learning in a fun, interactive way—don’t miss it!

Starting with the 2025–26 school year, all classrooms will use Rooms — our district-approved two-way communication platform. This one communication app. covers the entire Park 6 District, and is the only communication app. you will need to communicate with teachers, coaches, etc. across all grade levels.

Arrival and Dismissal Breakdown

Bus Pick Up and Drop Off all along Wyoming Avenue.
Kiss and Go with staff supervision on 17th Street, up until the cross walk.
Park and Walk your child to the building using the various parking spots along Bleistein Ave., and 17th Street.

Bighorn Avenue/16th Street is not a supervised drop off or pick up location. Due to safety concerns, please do not park along Bighorn Avenue/16th Street.

A Reminder From The Office

If your child will be absent for the day please call the front office and let us know. This includes for any reason: sick, out of town, personal absence. If you do not call us, we will be calling you as we need to make sure all of our students are accounted for.
