Clipper Currents

Students that achieved Dean's List last year received their Clipper sweatshirts the first day back to school. Keep up the hard work this year, Clipper Scholars!

The first day of school is always full of anticipation, and this year's welcome assembly was one for the books! It started with a show of incredible school spirit as our 8th graders created a welcoming tunnel, cheering on the new 5th graders as they made their way into the gymnasium. Their excitement was contagious and a fantastic way to make our newest students feel right at home.

Mrs. Studholme and Mr. Moody took the stage and introduced some exciting new additions to CMS. Students now have the opportunity to earn Clipper Cash for being safe, responsible, and respectful. Our dedicated teachers gave their best Vanna White impressions, showing off all the awesome prizes available at the school store. We also learned about Clipper Kickbacks, a new program to celebrate students who demonstrate good behavior, good grades, and good attendance.

The energy in the room was electric, and it only grew when Mr. Moody announced the raffle winner of a new drone! A huge congratulations to 5th grader Reid Gosselin on winning the grand prize.

The assembly wrapped up with some words of wisdom from our 8th graders, Carley Winn, Emma Bailey, and Kayson Thomas. They encouraged their fellow students to enjoy every moment, to be kind to everyone, and to always be themselves. Their advice was a powerful reminder of what our school community is all about.

It was an incredible first day, filled with warmth and excitement. Whether it was your first middle school assembly or your last, it's certainly one we'll all remember!
