HOME CHOICE ACADEMY HONORS OUR VETERANS!
Veterans Day is coming up, and we want to celebrate the veterans who are part of our Home Choice Academy school community!
We invite HCA families to help us recognize the special veterans in their lives by sharing:
📸 A Photo of your family’s veteran(s)
💙 Their Relationship to your HCA student (e.g., mom, dad, grandparent, aunt, or uncle)
🪖 Military Branch they served in
🎖️ War or Conflict they served in, if applicable
📅 Please send photos and information by November 6!
Who Is a Veteran?
A veteran is someone who has served in the U.S. military. Many veterans are people you know like grandparents, neighbors, Teachers, and even Doctors!
Why Do We Say Thank You?
Military service can mean spending time away from family and taking on difficult and dangerous responsibilities. On Veterans Day, we thank veterans for their service and recognize their contributions.
Why Do We Celebrate on November 11?
Veterans Day is celebrated every year on November 11. To mark the end of World War I on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. Today, we honor everyone who has served in the U.S. military.
Let's come together as Tigers to celebrate their courage, service, and sacrifice while keeping their stories alive for future generations!

The transportation department will continue to partner with us in the morning and offer shuttle bus services for our program. The shuttle stops will remain the same at the same schools, Silver Star, Pioneer, Mill Plain, and Marrion.

Complete your volunteer application here. This includes submitting your ID to the HCA office.
Approved background checks are good for two years. If you completed your application in the previous school year no action is needed at this time.
