Dear Brandywine Families,

We are excited to begin the 2025–26 school year with 38 homerooms and nearly 900 students ready to learn, grow, and bloom! Our school is already buzzing with energy as students settle into routines, practice the **Three Bes—Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible—**and embrace what it means to be a Brandywine Difference Maker.

This year, our Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) focuses on three important areas:

  • Student Reading Growth – helping every child become a confident, joyful reader.

  • Student Engagement – ensuring students are active, curious, and connected learners.

  • Family Engagement – partnering with you to strengthen learning and community.

Distraction Free Education: Disconnect to Reconnect

Forsyth County Schools has launched Distraction Free Education, a community-wide effort to reduce smart device distractions in schools and encourage more meaningful connections among students, staff, and families. Grounded in research, stakeholder feedback, and a shared commitment to student well-being and academic success, this aligns with Georgia’s Distraction Free Education Act.

At Brandywine, we are committed to Disconnect to Reconnect—helping our students focus fully on learning and relationships during the school day

Fall Fundraiser: Raze Craze – Kindness in Action

This November, Brandywine will launch our Raze Craze Kindness Fundraiser! Instead of selling products, students will ask family and friends to support them as they complete Acts of Kindness in our community.

Our fundraising goal this year is to build a fence to enclose the back of our school building. This project will help create a safer, more welcoming space for recess, outdoor learning, and school events.

We can’t wait to see our students spread kindness while making Brandywine even better for every Badger!

Learn more about Raze Craze here

Family Bloom (Family Engagement)

We loved seeing so many of you at Curriculum Night! Your involvement helps students feel supported and connected. Stay tuned for details about our fall Raze Craze, our biggest fundraiser event of the year.

Blooming Together (Community Connection)

Try a 15-minute device-free dinner or car ride this week. Ask your child: “What was the most interesting thing you learned today?” These small conversations help children feel heard and connected.

Next Steps for Parents
  • Stay Informed: Watch for school updates in weekly communications.

  • Review Routines: Talk with your child about the Three Bes.

  • Get Involved: Volunteer, attend family events, and participate in our fall fundraiser.

  • Support Reading at Home: Read together daily—it makes a big difference!

We’re grateful for your partnership in creating a school community where every student can bloom. Please don’t hesitate to reach me at 770-667-2585 x 480138 or dtremps@forsyth.k12.ga.us.

Together, we will make this year a season of growth and connection for all Badgers!

Warm regards,
Daisy Tremps
Principal

Happy September Badgers!

August was busy and we loved it! We are so happy that everyone is starting to get in the groove. Please be sure that your student is here on time and ready for the day. It helps students get acclimated to morning routines and procedures. When they’re here on time, they’re able to get started on the right foot and be ready for the day. With our fall break coming up at the end of this month, it’s imperative that your student comes to school. Did you know that if students miss only two days per month, that’s twenty days for the school year? It may not feel like a lot in the moment, but it adds up. Elementary school is crucial in laying the foundation for future educational and career goals. We appreciate your partnership in getting your student to Brandywine. If you feel that you need assistance with getting your student to school, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

In case you didn’t know, every month we have a community outreach event at Brandywine. We are fortunate to have The Place of Forsyth and Forsyth Community Clinic partner with us and support our community. Every month The Place provides a mobile pantry with eggs, bread, produce, and non-perishable goods. Every quarter Forsyth Community Clinic has a free mobile clinic that works with uninsured, Forsyth County adults. Anyone in need is welcome! Please share the word and let us know if you have any questions.

On the horizon, we will be continuing our classroom lessons and discussing the Zones of Regulation. We will have information about our Coffee & Conversations out ASAP, so be on the lookout.

Have a fantastic September❤

Ms. Lundy & Mrs. McDevitt
