Easley Weekly Update
Everything You Need to Know For the Coming Week
October 18, 2026
A Note From Principal Hauser
I hope everyone had a good weekend and is enjoying the change in temperature. Perhaps Fall is finally here...just in time for our fall events!
Easley Mathquerade - Family Math Night
Our annual Easley Mathquerade is Thursday, October 29th from 6:00-7:00 pm. Students and families are invited to come play math games in the gym and cafeteria. Families are welcome to wear school appropriate costumes. Parent supervision is required at all times. Please refrain from any costumes that are scary or have weapons of any kind.
Easley Fall Festival - October 24th
The Easley Fall Festival is all about celebrating our community, and it has grown year after year thanks to the generosity and support of our PTA and parent volunteers. It is a free event and all students will be provided with enough tickets to participate in each of the games, get a cotton candy ticket, a popcorn ticket, and a food ticket (hotdog, pizza, or pretzel). Tickets will go home with students on Friday. This year, we'd love to have at least one parent volunteer from each class so that every part of our school is represented. Thank you to those of you who have already signed up to volunteer. We still need additional volunteers; the time commitment is only an hour.
Ready to help? Sign up HERE to view volunteer opportunities. We can't wait to see you there!
Upcoming Teacher Workday
Please be reminded that Tuesday, November 3rd is election day and will is a Teacher Workday; there will be no school for students.
A Message From Your PTA - Upcoming General Election
The 2026 general election will take place on Tuesday, November 3. North Carolina voters will have the opportunity to vote in local, state, and federal elections, as well as consider proposed amendments to the North Carolina Constitution. The two Tax Amendments could have long-term implications for families, communities, public education, and local governments. Part of the role of PTA is to keep its members and community informed of what's happening to positively or negatively impact our public schools. Please see the letter below from the North Carolina PTA President, explaining the proposed Tax Amendments in greater detail. The letter includes link with more information.
Letter from North Carolina PTA President, Dr. Leroy Wray.
We encourage families to learn about the candidates and amendments on their ballots and to review reliable sources of information as they prepare to vote. Click THIS LINK for information from the State Board of Elections about voter registration, early voting, absentee voting, voter identification, and other important election details.
There will be more information on the Tax Amendments at the Fall Festival. Representatives from The North Carolina Public School Forum will have a table and will be available to any questions and provide additional information.
